This could be a serious problem for me.
I have a simple five arsubdomain site. I shared a single DB across the domains with different installs for each site. I then modified the pnTables of various installations to share the table I wanted to.
If I understadn the discussion correctly this is not longer possible. Please confirm.

There is a new multi sites project which is going to be presented during Camp Zikula 2009. For improved maintainability and independent development this will keep being a separate project, but it will become the primary Zikula-based multi sites solution which is going to be actively supported.

I liked the 0.7x series multisites system, it simply rerouted the location of the config.php, pntables.php file and theme folders based on the servername or httphost.
I am looking forward to an implementation of multisites in zikula too.
