Differences between Pages, Content, and Pagesetter/Pagemaster

What's the difference between the Pages, Content, and Pagemaster modules? They seem to do the same thing? -

Pages is for simple pages.
Content can also integrate several different types of content instead of only static texts with images.
Pagemaster is the successor of Pagesetter and allows to create complex database structures in publication types which can then be used to create individual content sections.
