help pls: where are the right files to correct the pagelinks stored?  Bottom

  • hi

i cant seem to solve this problem:

    http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v28/Modemaus/bad-link.jpg

using the custom "northern-web" theme, i wanted to change the pagelinks, and after i found HTML - files named "master.htm" and "home.htm" I readjusted the links. I must have made a mistake with the email link, so i decided to erase the email. now no matter which file I take out the wrong link, nothing happens!

the homepage just reloads the old crap and the wrong link is not even in the master.htm or home.htm in the /templates/modules folder.

I must be editing the wrong files constantly.

please help, where are the relevant and correct files to edit for chaning the pagelinks stored?? any help highly appreciated, after several hours trying to fix that simple mistake I am at my wits end.
  • clear your cache. Browser and site.

Home Page | Find on Facebook | Follow on Twitter
  • additionally check for 'compile templates' within pnRender and Theme administration (or clear the cache in there)...
(sidenote: since you are refering to a german site you can also check http://support.pn-cms.de for native support icon_wink )

  • i disabled and reenabled the custom theme. that helped!

many many thanks, i thought i didnt find the right files to work with.
  • master.htm and home.htm are the correct files to adjust but you must have caching enabled. Please see this wiki entry for editing templates to see the configuration that allows you to see your changes immediately.

What you did by reloading the theme was to recompile and force it to check for updated templates.
