Where is pnflashgames?  Bottom

  • I havent been able to find that site online in the last month that I have been checking. A while ago my site got hacked, and after removing both pnflashgames, and myegallery, it stopped. It's been a while since then, and I was hoping to try to reactivate both of them, but I can't seem to find pnflashgames anywhere. Any idea where it is?
  • pnFlashgames stopped working a few versions ago. If you`re running a really old version of Postnuke you could probably get it to work, but then you`re not secure and likely to get hacked.

If someone was to take on this module and make it Zikula compatible, you could most certainly charge for it.
  • I remember when the developer supposedly got bought out by a larger company. I'm not sure whatever happened with all of that.
  • I saw it listed on the NOC, before the NOC went away. Really, someone with some skills should adopt it.
  • I don't believe they could give it up like that... there's no way
If it is gone for good, I would love to keep it alive but I don't have the time. Love Flash!

  • I just loaded up pnFlashGames 1.5 into a test Zikula installation, and it does work. At least, I could play Space Invaders.

  • You need to find pnFlashGames 1.5.1 and upgrade, there's an SQL injection vulnerability in 1.5 so using it probably isn't a great idea.

  • Sorry -- knew about it, didnt' plan on using it live but was curious if/why it wouldn't load up.

Is the patch in this thread sufficient ?

If anyone has 1.5.1 to make available that would be great.
  • Hi

I have written to someone who is running version 1.5.1 to see if we can get a copy from there.
Why not put it into the Code SVN, since I'm sure someone would really appreciate a new development of it towards Zikula 1.02 ??

    Sincerely

  • I would like to know if there would be some Zikula users interested by a version of pnFlashGames with the following improvements
    • using templates and CSS (not yet done)
    • working with Zikula 1.1.2 and with most deprecated functions replaced (nearly done)
    • working not only with pnFlashgames games (including licenced ones if you have a licence code for your domain) but also with IBPro (including v32 ones) flash games (done but require mod rewrite in .htaccess) this give access to hundreds of games availables on the web.
    • still GPL and free icon_smile

Understand me, templating will need some time, so the module is not ready, but I just want to evaluate if zikulans are now too serious to play or not icon_wink

  • Jean-Michel, you should touch base with uheweb forum post
  • Thanks Craigh,
I looked at uheweb's website and he seems to be using my modified version of PNzClassifieds so maybe he will also be interested in the work I have done on this other module too.
Anyway if only I was able to log at Cozi (never been able to, with any computer or browser I tried for YEARS, Cozi don't seems to love me !!) I could share my progress on upgrading some old modules to Zikula.

  • I made some progresses :
    • all the IBPRO games that I have tested works and record scores. the anti-cheating feature of v32 games also works
    • I have made cool lastscores, highscores and random games blocks using Erik Spaan's work for the storiesext block of the News module

Now I really need to finish my work on templating all functions. icon_rolleyes
