I couldn't find anything about a split up of rift anywhere online. Must be a juicy story there.

I already used smarty.net when needed. Never knew that there was also a smarty.php.net

I always wondered why Smarty was a PHP project and Postnuke wasn't... Anyway even the Smarty mailing list didn't say anything. So I guess it's a secret...

Oh goody, license to make up something lewd and provocative. Like maybe PHP caught Smarty in bed with his brother Perl... or worse paying for it with .NET... EW!

I heard that Microsoft now owns a large portion of Smarty.
