PNphpBB2 'No post mode specified' & No uninstall????  Bottom

  • Posting or removing topics in PNphpBB2 brings up this error 'No post mode specified'. Trying to uninstall it just gets caught in an endless loop trying to remove the tables, and never does.

It looks like I can't alter anything going to the database from PNphpBB2

I neet to completly remove it and start over. It looks like I'll need to manually remove it. I know all the database tables that need removed. What I don't know is how to remove all the bits and pieces in Zikula. Is it as simple as deleting the folder? What about the listing in the modules applet? It needs to deactivate and delete to get it removed.

How can I get this uninstalled so it can be installed new???

The above will be all moot if someome knows whats causing the problem.

    TIA...

  • Go to the administration section, click modules, deactivate the module you want to remove. Once deactivated you will see the dustbin icon, click to delete. Delete the old files from your server, upload the new files. Back to admin/modules, regenerate the modules list and then activate and install the new module.

  • I can deactivate but Zikula refuses to delete PNphpBB2 from the modules it just keeps looping in the removal process of the database tables.

hence the: "Trying to uninstall it just gets caught in an endless loop trying to remove the tables, and never does."

    TIA...

Update: NEW install and PNphpBB2 also refuses to remove itself from the database and modules after install. Looks like another quirk of PNphpBB2 on Zikula....

  • If you are going to make concurrent, highly-related threads, please just link them together. It helps people supporting, and it will also help people searching for solutions later. I can appreciate you starting a new topic, but as a courtesy to future users it makes sense to link them as they are directly related.

    Thanks icon_smile

  • I figured a more generic topic would be more approperate, and easier to find or the search engine.

  • Ok, I'll take a look. I'm new to some of these features. I wish pnForum had some decent themes and I'd be running it on my site.
