Zafenio 1.2i-most-recent is the newest version available in the modules DB. It is also the most current in the Cozi. What I want to know is with your rebranding of PNphpBB to Zafenio, are we at phpbb3 now?
It's not very clear because your module details explains that "Zafenio combines the powerful features of a phpBB3 forum with Zikula. It succeeds PNphpBB2, and provides a clean upgrade path from there..." So is it phpbb3 or just rebranded PNphpbb2 and soon it will be phpbb3?
Someone slam down an answer when they get a chance...

The version you can download now is PNphpBB2-i-patch3 plus all bug fixes and security patches until today. It also includes fixes to install/upgrade/run on Zikula 1.0. It is internally called Zafenio-2-j.
Full re-branding and new phpbb3 based code is under development, a first beta of Zafenio-3 will be released following our roadmap.
Greetings,
Chris

I'm getting an error on trying to create or confirm users today. I'm also getting it when I tried to register on the Zafino forums. The error is:
"An error occured while sending an email".
This is preventing me from confirming the users on my forums (or at least it appears to be.) (It's also preventing me from getting registered properly on the Zafino website so that I could use the forums there it looks like.) Please help! My site administrator is already ready to give up on PHphpBB and wants to go over to the PNforums, and I'd like to stick with the PNphpBB forum style (... I *also* don't want to lose all of the work I've already done on establishing the forums and the users, and the posts that we already have... we're having enough trouble having to recode our site for Zikula.)
Thanks!

Seems that your Mailer configuration is not valid
ask to your hosting for the method to use when you want to send emails,
and, configure the Mailer module accordingly (/admin.php?module=Mailer)

This doesn't seem to be the problem. First, the problem is occurring when I try to use the Zafenio forums on the Zafenio web site... so that would imply that if it is the Mailer configuration, then their Mailer configuration is wrong, too. That just doesn't make sense.
Second, in the case of my own forums, it seems that the emails *are* actually getting out, but I'm getting the error message despite the fact that the messages are getting out. I'm still getting it, and my mailer configuration appears correct. I'm going to go and try again to register on their support forums as I'm also getting a problem this morning with messages not showing up.

Yep, the Zafino website is *still* not allowing me to login. It shows that I've registered, (when I try to register it shows my username as taken now) but guess they haven't approved it yet, because when I try to login, it tells me that my username doesn't exist.
So, have to ask for help here again.
Alright, up until yesterday when people posted to the forums they showed up. As of this morning, I'm showing several forums with new message icons, and a new name and date stamp for the last post made, but that last post is not showing up on the forums. Any ideas?
The forums are here:
http://www.caw.org/index.php?module=PNphpBB2
and this is one of the forums which shows a new message on the forums home page, but the message is not showing up:
http://www.caw.org/index.php?name=PNphpBB2&file=viewforum&f=7

File permissions/ownership on your server seem to be not correct. Example: http://www.caw.org/modules/PNphpBB2/docs/copyrite.html

Can you clarify that? What is that link supposed to lead to?
And just as an FYI, in follow-up, one of the new posts which wasn't showing up last night is now showing up. The one on the board at:
http://www.caw.org/index....BB2&file=viewforum&f=7
Is still not showing up.

Is the Zafenio site working?
I tried to sign up and - after some trial - got it to accept my information. But...
- I was never mailed a password.
- When I try to recover the password, nothing is emailed to me.
- When I go the documentation section of the forum and try to view the documentation I get a '403 Forbidden' error.
- Ditto the Copyright, Credits or any other static content.
I would really like to load and use Zafenio on my web site, but having access to documentation and their forums first would be nice.

Thanks for your report - the mailer was still using old outdated credentials. Should work fine now.
The module included documentation is not accessable under Zikula any more via the web, as Zikula additionally protects the /modules directory for security reasons. We are working on a fitting solution to be included in the next release. Meanwhile please use this direct link.

Chris

I'm the site administrator in question for this particular site. There appears to have been some minor confusion about this situation. This isn't a situation that involves Zafenio. The problem that we're experiencing with this particular error message is that it pops up when a new user registers. Once the user registers, the settings for the site are setup to email them their password. The site does this and everything appears to work just fine, however, once the registration is complete, this error message pops up. It doesn't hurt the registration process at all. I've tested the Mailer settings through the admin interface (/admin.php?module=Mailer) and I don't get this error. It's set to use PHP Mail() which is what another site using PN 0764 is set to use. Both sites use the same host (Lunarpages). No clue as to why the error message is popping up. The only changes that have been to any area that might possibly effect this would be to the Account Panel Properties (all properties were deleted except real email and password). Could this be causing the problem? Otherwise it's just an annoyance.
Also, please feel free to move this post since it doesn't really concern Zafenio ;)

I still can't access the forums on the Zafenio web site.
If I follow the link to recover a lost password, it returns an error the that user name or e-mail doesn't exist.
If I follow the link to set up a new account and register under the user name or e-mail I tried when I first tried to register, it returns an error telling me it already exists.
Catch-22
I have tried this now with three different e-mails and user names, all with the same results. Each time I have registered, I have NOT received an e-mail with my password.
Please look into this and advise me on my best course of action. -

Please let me know the user name you used first, and I will set you up manually. I will send you an interim password via email - please continue via PM here.

Chris
