Patch to use Photoshare on Zikula  Bottom

  • I've made some quick and dirty mods to Photoshare to allow it to be used with Zikula. Download them here:

    http://www.westnet.com/~chris/Zikula/photoshare-zikula-0.0.zip

    It replaces the 4 files common.php pnshow.php pnshowapi.php pnuserapi.php

This version will only deal with login IDs, all I did was remove any references to the _name field, leaving uname .

This is for everyone who hasn't moved to Mediashare because they like Photoshare's Gallery view.
  • Hallo,
Is there a posibility for photoshare be made running on Zikula like any other module ?
I would very likely prefer that. A photo-site of mine has about 25.000 - 30.000 pictures on it and I want to keep them all.

  • That is exactly what this patch does.

Yes, it's working. I tried on one of my sites.
I get some problem with the block. But maybe the reason is that I use table sharing.
Does the block working well under normal conditions, .. including use of topics ?

  • I don't know that I ever tried the block. I can check to see if it is working on any site.

I don't know that anyone is working on Photoshare any more, I just did what I needed to make it work for my site, and made the patch available if it could help anyone else.

I've since done more work with Mediashare, and I do see where the improvements are.

Would be nice, if you do. I would have done it by myself, but I don't understand PHP.

I use Mediashare as well. But photoshare is much better if you need to store a great amount of photos. This old software has a few minor problems, but is running fairly well on one of my websites, where about 30.000 pictures are stored.
