  I have a site that is currently running 0.764, and uses PNPHPBB for the forums. I would like to upgrade, but one of my concerns is moving the information from the forums over to the no needle id.
  
  Any suggestions on doing this would be very valuable.

  There are http://noc.postnuke.com/projects/pnforum/ pnForum Tools 2.00a for conversion of pnphpbb2 to pnForum.

  AFAIK pnphpBB is alive and will be running under .8 - give it a try. Set up a test site and install pnphpbb. But you could also migrate to pnForum. I'd do that first: mirgate to pnForum then upgrade to .8
