I've just downloaded the last SVN snapshot of PostNuke 0.8 in order to install it into my computer with Ubuntu OS. I had already installed XAMPP for Linux, so I've typed http://localhost/install.php and I've selected the English language, but when I've tried to create a database, it has appeared the following message:
"Failed to create database - please verify database information"
And this is a great problem, because I don't know how to create a database for myself with Ubuntu. Is there anybody here that knows how to do it? Anyway, is there a test database into PostNuke 0.8 to use in these "emergency" situations?
Thanks.

there is a phpMyAdmin in xampp from what they say on the official website, you should find it in some URL like http://localhost/phpMyAdmin -

http://localhost/phpmyadmin/index.php will do it - you need the index.php though.
