blocks dissapear when using scribite!  Bottom

  • I have tested this three seperapte times and keep getting the same results. I'm using a new, clean install on PN.8RC3 and the upgraded Travelogue theme by Mark West.

    I installed and configured scribite exactly per instructions in the install doc and only after I add the code to my master.htm as indicated in the doc do I get the problem:

    Code

    <!--[scribite]-->

    When this is added, my blocks dissapear. I can switch themes and they are there, displayed properly, but when i go back to travelouge, they are just not there. I can remove the code from the file, clear all the cache and theay are still not there, even with the code gone. very wierd... I have removed/reinstalled the theme and tested this three times...

    Anyone have any ideas on this one...
  • Have you an URL to check this issue?

  • Hmm, seems theme related.

    Try switching the xinha width to "auto/auto" or very small- perhaps the themes CSS uses
    overflow: hidden - and the blocks are there but not showing (moved to an invisible area

    Why would adding the tag make all the left block totally dissappear?
  • Seems that the theme is not loading the Left position...
    are you sure that the themes templates (master, home...) has
    $lt;--[blockposition name="left"]-->
    inside the div#sidebar?

    there's no blocks code in the source... icon_confused
    so, it seems that the theme have not been updated to Xanthia 3.

  • It works right now without scribite code added:

    When I add the scribite code, the left blocks disappear. How could this be a theme problem?
  • I changed this:

    Code

    <!--[$leftblocks]-->

    to this:

    Code

    <!--[blockposition name="left"]-->

    And it seems to work now...
  • How could it not be?

    Can you zip up your theme and send it to me.. ammodump/gmail/com

    As I am curious.

  • Thanks for the help. I guess the 'upgrade' doesn't make all the neccesary changes to the theme, or I could be misunderstanding the usage of the 'upgrade' tool for themes.

    Thanks again...
