  • been gone from PN for a while. thought i would check out the latest, and was glad to see finally a RC was out for 0.8. anyway.

    1. i had installed RC2 couple weeks back and was playing with it. when i tried to upgrade to RC3 , well i couldnt. and the docs didnt help alot. everything was focussed on 764 upgrade. maybe there is no upgrade since its RC.

    2. i started playing around with new API functions and plugins. my question is, where can i find a list of new API calls available. i checked thewiki and couldnt find what i was looking for. a lil push in the right direction will be appreciated.

BTW 0.8 is looking good. alot of functionality. seems like alot of user concerns were answered.

i have lots more questions/concerns but dem can wait.

  • Hi cannibus!
Well, practically you only need to copy the RC3 files and upgrade the modules with a new version...
if you already have the latest copy of RC3 in your site,
    open with your browser: /upgrade.php?action=regenerate
it'll upgrade the modules that needs an upgrade
    and you'll have a running RC3 site.

    2. There's no new API calls in the RC3 respect to RC2
but anyways you can find the API reference here:
    http://community.postnuke.com/Wiki-PostNukeAPI.htm
    Mark West updated it recently.
