The admin link in the main menu does not go away when i (admin) am logged out.

I seem to remember that it did when i first installed PN. is this the case, should the admin link go away after admin is logged out? others probably have access to the link. although, when admin is logged out and the link is clicked upon it opens the admin panel without the admin links.

anyone know how to correct this? it seems to me the link should not be seen. also, the logout link is there when not logged in, really does not make sense to me that either should be visible to a unregistered user.
