moderation of avatars  Bottom

  • I am using Avatar 1.1 on PN .764.
I like that I can let my users upload their own avatars to use, however, I want the avatars to be set so that I (or a moderator) MUST approve them before they are uploaded/used.
I looked at pnavatar, but it doesn't allow for the resizing of the image. I like Avatar because it will let me set the size of the avatar, automatically resize them if they're too big, set what file types can be used and set group prefixes for the avatars. The only thing it lacks (as far as I can tell) is the ability to moderate the avatars first.
I tried to look at the support (according to the modules section of PN), but Frank Schumertz' site is in German and the only thing I know in German is "nein" :) There are no docs in the Avatar download, so that doesn't help either.
I tried setting my permissions for the module from read all the way through to add with no joy.
If anyone can tell me either what to do with Avatar to make it so that the uploads are moderated first, or point me to another module that will let me do that, I would greatly appreciate it.
    Thanks in advance,
    Mickey
  • There's no such workflow yet - AFAIK. But you should add that to the feature request tracker.

  • Sometimes "Nein" is an important word, not only in German icon_smile

Anyway, this feature does not exist yet, but feel free to add this to the feature tracker, implementing this would be a nice way to dive into the workflow engine, which is something I have not done yet.
