Typetool was working fine? What is your definition of fine?
Scribite in itself is not a wysiwyg, but a PN bridge for many editors. A very nice one. Specific plugins may need special concideration.
AutoTheme initself should not be that hard to install.
typetool was and is working, i have not used scribite yet so i have nothing to compare typetool to. i have read that scribite is nice tool. i understand now what you mean about a PN editor bridge. does not typetool act as a similar such tool?

typetool was and is working
Typetool was and is (at least according to my knowledge and as far as the version included in PostNuke is concerned) producing crappy HTML code. That's the reason why we do not recommend it any longer.
