hCard for Pagesetter  Bottom

  • I am trying to use the hCard template. I would like to be able to make 2 separate Address Books - one for businesses, one for site users. I created a category "Addresses" with 2 sub-categories "Business Addresses" and "User Addresses".
Do I need another template to point to the second category? How do I change the fields (I tried to change them under the publication edit section, but they didn't change).
I know a lot of people use and love the Pagesetter module and all the thing it can do, but since I'm not too great at programming or PHP, I'm stuck.
Any and all help is greatly appreciated. A "dummies" version would be wonderful. icon_biggrin

    Thanks in advance,

  • hCard template is an add-on, it was a template used by someone who shared [and thank you for that]

    About your question, two choices:
    1. make a pub type where ppl can choose from a drop down [category] business/User
    2. make the same pub-type with the same pub lay-out
    pub[eg.]4 - Business
    pub[eg.]5 - User

You could add, if you're business, add VAT number, otherwise, you're just an user... not sure where you're getting at....

  • well, Igor,
what I want to do is have a listing of businesses that are Ham Radio related and also have a listing of the users - if they want to put their personal info in the list.
The businesses would have the business name, contact number, contact person, etc. The users would just have the users name and contact info - e.g. e-mail, phone number, etc. Essentially, the 2 address books would be alike, but have some differences - and be totally different from each other for the storage/database part.
How hard would it be to create the things to be able to do that? I'm still kind of in the dark about Pagesetter. I haven't had time to go through the docs on it very well.
    Talk to you later.
