Why don't you help the crpCalendar guy with his module? It looks pretty solid as a basis for further development.

I just feed 3 items in the Tracker of crpCalendar - hope that helps
But as I dont know which way the guy wants go go with the module I can't tell if I may help him at this. -

Okay. It's called "Simple" Event Calendar. But features like putting an event into the user profile ASO are barely more than API calls. The crpCalendar's API looks quite flexible.

The last post from Steffen seems more appropriate. I don't know if pagemaster will be the way to go or not but a central database of addresses able to be used by "any" module that needs it would be great. I've got a site that really needs that functionality in crpcalendar but also in other places in the site.
If it was there all a mod dev would have to do is call it and allow the user to select the needed address/s and them formate the result to suit their setup. That way you'd get any calendar mod or any other module that suited a users needs without duplicating functionality each time. Would it work as a hook module? -

Adding the event to the users profile would be nice too, as a "last visited events" list for that special user.
What I mean for the event itself is a kind of "guestlist" as these guys have done here: http://portey.de/main/events.php?event_id=10332 - where users can say "I join wirx xx friends".
