Will work with .8RC2? :)
Had to install .8 for some reason.. My webhost make upgrades to their server and while my old sites work, I cannot for the life of me get a .764 installed fresh. Not sure why, but ironically, .8 installed without a hitch. Only problem is, looks like my previous forum of choice (pnphpbb2) is no longer active, and that leaves me wondering what else is out there, and (hopefully) what works with .8 :) Thanks as always!

According to the module database pnphpbb2 should be running under .8 - And I think there are still active developers working on that.
The alternatives are pnForum and ElementBB. Both have great features.

well, "active" is a subjective term. They are "working" on it, but there is ZERO help for those people attempting to beta test it, I waited over a week on their forum simply to get the link for SVN access to the nightly snapshots. Waited several days to find out that i had to apply a patch from SVN before installing to remove an error with pn0.8. If our site wasent so complex and customized, we'd be moving to a different forum module for sure. -

Well that is what you call open source development. If you want garanteed reply times you should look for commercial solutions.
