    Hello everyone,
I am new with PN. I need help to find out what are the right modules for me. I need something like buy.com, especially the products listing from the database. I also want the users to rate the products also. How can I accomplish something like this. Which all modules should I use.

    Thank you in advance

Welcome to the PostNuke Community Forums muzkara!

You can find useful the pnCommerce module to the products database and other details, and to rate and comment each one, i think that the hook modules Ratings and EZComments can do it.
Download and install pnCommerce, i have a downloadable copy here:
    mypnRelay/postnuke/M…ommerce-0.99.tar.gz

After that you can initialize the Rating module and enable the Rating hook to the pnCommerce module. With that base you can start to customize your site.

    Happy PostNuking! icon_wink

    Sorry muzkara!
I saw that the .tar.gz doesn't download fine...
lately my hosting get errors with the get_file_contents() i guess...
so, i'll implement CURL in pnRelay and i hope that works better.

    here is the correct download:
    myRelay/postnuke/Mod…pnCommerce_0.99.zip
    see ya!

thanks again, but I decided to learn PHP myself and start a complete site myself. PostNuke is not giving me something exactly what i need. I also cannot find appropriate help on PostNuke online. It seems hard for me to cope with. I appreciate all your help.

    Thanks again...

    About the online help:
We (the Docs team) begin the work of document an incremental process in the PostNuke 0.8 learning curve.
May be later you can come and find that PostNuke Web Framework gives you all the tools that you need to do anything.
The documents began to be build here (currently in draft):
    http://viendoraglass…dex.php?name=CoType

The idea is to have detailed documents as:
    http://viendoraglass…nc=section&secid=25

    About your specific needs:
It's hard that you found exactly what you need in a "general use" tool. Globally, the PostNuke Web Framework (0.8) can give you the tools to do anything, and the better is that you can adapt an existing module with ease (fully templated views, well defined APIs and GUIs...), you can do it.

I just recommend you to explore the module development. Improve your PHP skills and practice a little with the PN-API, you'l see the power that 0.8 release offers to you.

    See ya!

    Thanks again,

I will definitively go through the manual as well as the PN API, If what you said is true, it is really good to stick to PN, I will try to do that.Thanks. If this really works out I will ever be thankful
