hi team,
it has long been my desire to create localised content for india specially in indian languages.

I somehow got facinated with PostNuke luckily got the PostNuke.in domain registered just for the purpose of promoting PostNuke in indian Languages

A brief about Indian Languages
The Constitution of India recognises 22 languages, spoken in different parts the country, namely Assamese, Bengali, Bodo, Dogri, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Kashmiri, Konkani, Maithili, Malayalam, Meitei, Marathi, Nepali, Oriya, Punjabi, Sanskrit, Santhali, Sindhi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu

Out of the above : Hindi, Gujarati, Kannada, Punjabi, Malayalam, Telugu(my monther tongue) and Tamil are very popular.



I request the concerned language to initiate the process of developing PostNuke for Indian Languages.

I am not a technie so need your support to the fullest extent in getting this started.

Please feel free to translate PostNuke .8 into your language - have a look through the translation files for English and see if you can work out how they are laid out. If you come across any architectural reasons why you can't work a translation please submit bugs to the bug tracker.

Currently gettext can made you the indian language management easier?
Exist tools for use gettext with indian languages?
