I need someone to assist me on gettig ANY chat module to work on my PostNuke v0.7.6.4 website. I have looked into 123FlashChat and found that you can not just FTP it to your webhost, and initialize the module and its ready to go. At least that what I have found unless I am doing something wrong. I have also tried SPChat, but its no longer supported, and its having some issues with it's javascripts. Then I looked into pnFreeChat, but I can't uncompress a .tgz file.
I just need a good chat module that will work within PostNuke or assistance getting one of the above working for me. Anyone?

pnFreeChat sucks, I wouldn't even bother installing it. It acts as a advertising hole... I wonder why there isn't even a stable chat module for postnuke since chat module is a big thing and crucial in many sites.

Not sure about stand alone but I dug up a copy of pnPJChat that works alright. It connects to irc networks using a members name. They still need to register on the irc network, but I've always liked the idea of offering members the ability to use java or irc... -

Well, I don't mind registering a room on a IRC network. Thats not hard. Once set up, the members of my site can log onto my site, then into the chatroom without having to leave my site or re-login to the chat room? Got a link to your chatroom so I could try it out? -

That's right. Once logged into the site when you go to the chat page and click on 'Temple's Java Chat (for members)', it loads the room using your site membership name. Don't have to leave or re-login. If you'd like to try it out I setup a test account you can use to login to my site. The chat link is in the top links menu. For security reasons this will only be active for a few days.
