I have been waiting... and I am getting rather irritable.
Where can a guy get a module template so I can start working on module design?!?!?!
I understand that 0.8 is still under development... bah humbug! I wanna start coding!
Hell, at this point? If I thought it would help, I would offer to work on the core system!
I just wanna start development on some modules.
Surely 0.8 is stable enough for basic module development? But I can't find an example-module anywhere!!!

Download the .8 add-ons. Many of them are coded to .8 standards - to one degree or another.
Specifically, look for those containing calls to FormUtil or DataUtil or DBUtil, etc.

I remember that the Tutorial modules was moved off in the SVN, but i think you can get them browsing the SVN:

In there, you can download the 90Mb of PN-material (Download The Nightly SVN Tree Snapshot) or Browse the SVN repository.
Browsing, you'll find the tutorial-modules in the path:
Misc/Tutorial-8x/
and there are:

ExampleDB/
ExampleObj/
HowtoPNForms/
HowtoWorkflow/
I'm afraid that you have to download all the ~90Mb because 've readed that the ValueAddons was discontinued by now and the PN08 snapshot includes the addons modules too... or i don't know if through SVN checkout you can get them...
