I have been working for this Permission for several days and I still cannot figure this out.
Here's the case of mine :
1. I want all my users can access to the FAQ (view, read, edit, add) but definetely CANNOT DELETE
2. I want to grant a special people to be the admin (this one I've done successfully)
Anybody know how to solve the no. 1 problem?
I have tried :
All Groups | FAQ:: | :: | Read
All Groups | FAQ:: | :: | Edit
All Groups | FAQ:: | :: | Add
But still cannot work. since the FAQ link is inside the Administration Panel, and group of Users doesnt have the authority to access admin module. Any1 can help? Thanks in advance. -

Unfortunately, the Faqs module is not that robust, it would seem. See if you can find another module that fits these needs. There is Pagesetter... but it maybe overkill for this.

although i didn't test 'All Groups | FAQ:: | :: | Add' should basically work. can you post your entire permission schema?

Hi Andreas,
He is correct, in that there is no other 'user' function available besides 'read' and 'submit a question'.
The rest of the FAQ functionality seems to be 'admin'-level. ...
../admin.php?module=FAQ&op=FaqCatEdit&id_cat=1
../admin.php?module=FAQ&op=FaqCatGo&id_cat=1
..ect
I do not see how to give higher permission without giving admin access to the whole module.

Yes, 0.7x FAQ modules isn't designed to let users to add Questions in the frontend...
0.8 FAQ module must have it, and that's very very easy to do in 0.8!
Nice Feature request elly.
