When using the pnml name code in my theme it is showing the HTML coding from the global.php language file on my site. The define line has HTML coding for links and colors.
I checked the System HTML Settings in the admin panel and I can't see what the problem may be.
Any ideas as to what may be causing this?

Actually, I'm having the same original problem. My HTML text defined in my theme's global.php language file is showing all the HTML code on my site.
My define line in global.php is:
Code
define('_NAVIGATION','<strong><a href="/index.php">Home</a>
| <a href="/index.php?module=calendar">Calendar</a>
| <a href="/index.php?module=Newsroom">News</a>
| <a href="/modules.php?op=modload&name=Downloads&file=index">Downloads</a>
| <a href="/modules.php?op=modload&name=Web_Links&file=index">Links</a>
| <a href="/index.php?module=ppnews">Newsletter</a></strong>');
It is showing the following on my website:
Code
<strong><a href="/index.php">Home</a>
| <a href="/index.php?module=calendar">Calendar</a>
| <a href="/index.php?module=Newsroom">News</a>
| <a href="/modules.php?op=modload&name=Downloads&file=index">Downloads</a>
| <a href="/modules.php?op=modload&name=Web_Links&file=index">Links</a>
| <a href="/index.php?module=ppnews">Newsletter</a></strong>
I am using the Xanthia variable:
Code
<!--[pnml name=_NAVIGATION]-->
Any help would be appreciated.

try the HTML-parameter
Code
<!--[pnml name=_NAVIGATION html=1]-->
Quote
/**
* Smarty function to read a PostNuke language constant.
*
* This function takes a identifier and returns the corresponding language constant.
*
* Available parameters:
* - name: Name of the language constant to return
* - HTML: Treat the language define as HTML
* - assign: If set, the results are assigned to the corresponding variable instead of printed out
* - * All remaining parameters are used as string replacements
*
* Example
* _EXAMPLESTRING = 'Hello World'
* returns Hello World
*
* _EXAMPLESTRING = 'There are %u% users online';
* $usersonline = 10
* returns There are 10 users online
