Is the Example module missing? I am using the newest RC1, but no Examples module? Are we waiting on something? I am dying to start back on some module design, but I stopped because I saw that the .8 Release was still be edited in some serious ways. If we are still waiting... what are we waiting on? Anything I can help with?

The only place I can find any of hte howto modules is in the SVN tree under 'Misc/Tutorial/'.
