News  Bottom

  • Greetings, Im a new post nuke user who decided to dive right into 0.8, and I would like to give my hats off to everyone in making a powerful and interesting new way to look at and use CMS'. the RC1 looks very visually appealing with included templates and seems like a very powerful application.

I have run into one problem that has me completely lost - and while I realize this forum isnt necessarily for support I was hoping someone could point me in the correct direction. My entire site is working great, but when I click on the "home" links it takes me to a largely unformatted page (it certainly doesnt match the rest of the sites theme) with a listing of news articles. Furthermore, this is the only place that the news articles show up for me to view. Anyone have any ideas?

This problem aside I'm really enjoying what I see, keep up the great work!

EDIT: If it matters, I had to remove .htaccess to install PostNuke.

  • Does this happen for every theme or just one in particular? You may want to replace the themes files and reload them. The 'Home' template framework is in the file themes/ChosenTheme/templates/modules/home.htm if you wanted to check for xhtml/css errors.

  • bah, i figured out my problem upon trying to find out why the theme wouldnt be displaying for that page. I had my home page pointing to a module that wasnt really set to do anything. I changed the home to point to the news module and everythings working now!

Thanks for the pointer though, it cued up finding the problem and got me their far faster than stabbing in the dark would have without the help...thank you! icon_biggrin
