I just installed the RC1 on a fresh system (still can't get the update of .76x to behave correctly). Everything went great until I tried to install the News module. I'm getting a "sorry, can't create tables" error. Is there a workaround for this. News is the core of my site and I'll just be lost without it.
Thanks,
Matt

The database user that you specified when you installed PostNuke needs to have permission to make alterations to the database ... particularly to create and drop tables.
Without sufficient permission, you will be unable to install modules that create a table during their installation. To solve: bump up the permission level on the database user so that it has access to create and drop tables. -

Thanks for your reply. My DB user does have permission to create and drop tables. I tested that using PHPmysqlAdmin. No problem creating tables. My DB is mySql 4.1, not 5.0-- Could that be the problem? -

That is definitely sufficient for the stable version...the requirements can be verified on the main homepage, but for the RC, I'm not so sure. I've been on the 5x for awhile and would have likely missed this if it was an issue. Perhaps someone will be able to comment further on this.
