Thanks for everyone's feedback so far, just a reminder though, be sure to post your suggestions to the NOC. Also, they should be specific to the PN software application -- not for the PN site or support.

Regarding the request for a yellow pages module and/or Pagesetter template: There is a Directory template for Pagesetter (I believe I downloaded it from www.pagesetter.net) . I used it with minor modifications for an Alumni directory for a high school.
What would one be looking for in a Yellow Pages ?

Thanks for the tip :) How did it work out for you? I've got a few Pagesetter templates I have to get ready for release -- I really love the flexibility of Pagesetter and once you have your mind wrapped around the process it is an amazing tool to have it your development grab bag. :)

Very well. I had previously used pnAddressBook on another project, and this was far easier. I wrote a plugin AddorEdit that restricts users to one entry, by presenting an "Add" link if they don't have one, or an "Edit" link if they do. (I believe I even uploaded it somewhere, I would assume pagesetter.net).
Take a look: http://alumni.yonkerspublicschools.org/ and select Alumni Directory. (I'm the programmer, NOT the designer, so I claim no credit for the look, graphics, etc.)
So when someone asks for a "Yellow Pages", I have to admit I don't know what they are looking for that isn't already out there. pnAddressbook exists, Pagesetter has a template that duplicates it. I start to feel existential - Other than a yellow background what makes it a "Yellow Pages" ?
I could go on and on about Pagesetter - -but maybe that deserves a new thread ?

Using AdvProfile (or the Profile module in .8), Avatar, pnLastSeen, pnUserPictures, pnMessages, EZComments ASO. you should be able to build a lot of community function - although I admit, that there could be more. I also implemented personal galleries using Pagesetter and advProfile.
hehe, that's what I'm doing on my dev-site....
www.forul.be
I even got multisites working, the weblog of www.defeestmuizen.be and http://www.forul.be/index.php?module=WebLog&func=view&uid=21 is exactly the same

Lot needs to be done, but still...
