xFPDF Problems - FPDF error: Image file has no extension and no type was specified:  Bottom

  • I just first off want to say that the docs for this module are a joke. The website no longer has an active forum.

I am getting this error:FPDF error: Image file has no extension and no type was specified:

When I am trying to convert an news story to pdf. I have read all the forums on here and elfdisk and Pagesetter forums and none of the "fixes" worked. As i stated before the docs are useless.

Might someone have any ideas as to how to get this to work?.
Using latest postnuke with an xanthia theme.
  • *bump* No one knows ?.

Oh gone are the days of plentifull PN support. The forums seems so dead compared to what they used to be. Have people chosen a diff CMS? Those fools!!!!
    lol.

But seriously know one has any idea?
  • News or Pagesetter?

  • Demo: http://www.weiterbildung.uni-kiel.de/index.php?module=Pagesetter&func=viewpub&tid=2&pid=65

In Pagesetter you copy your XY-full.html and rename it to XY-pdf.html

If you want to call your article with this new Template you simply attach &tpl=pdf to the URL

If you have xFPDF installed and the cache folder writable you simply have to add this at the beginning of the XY-pdf.html:

    Code

    <!--[render_pdf filename="XY_`$core.tid`_`$core.pid`"]-->

    and this at the end:

    Code

    <!--[/render_pdf]--

On reload of the pdf-Template-Version of your article, it should call xFPDF and deliver a pdf.

But you should know that xFPDF can only understand very basic HTML no tables no CSS and images only if they are correctly set with width and height.
