But, how can i arrange the galleries on the main page by descendig id or by date?

By using the order arrows next to the categories on the main admin page, you can arrange the galleries in any order you like. It does not read the dates of last added pics, etc... to arrange automatically - though it's a fairly trivial thing to get it to do...
