Postnuke -> AMFPHP Design Process  Bottom

  • Alrighty then...

I have begun. I started off by moving the AMFPHP Directory Structure to a Postnuke 0.8 Root/includes/classes/AMFPHP folder.

These are my opinions right now.

I believe I will be creating a new root file. Just like Ajax has an ajax.php file in the root folder, I believe I will be creating an amfphp.php file in root. It will instantiate the basic PN functionality and contain the gateway as well.

Since I can't find a flowchart for amfphp ANYWHERE, I am trying to decipher the program flow. I believe it starts in gateway.php and that is about the farthest I have gotten so far. Since my site is down right now? I figured I would post my progress here, and in a week or so I will set up a NOC section on amfphp-4-postnuke development...

If you have a strong feel for amfphp I could REALLY use your help.
    I know Postnuke fairly well.
    Flex / Flash / AS1-3 fairly well... and very comfortable in PHP4 ( and 5 somewhat ).

    Thats all for today!

  • Ok... I have setup a google doc with the directory structure for the new AMFPHP 1.9 beta
I am using this release as it has no METHOD TABLE! ( hooray! )

    http://docs.google.com/View?docid=dskpkt4_326cdgh9x

I have begun converting this package to Postnuke and have hit some questions for the development crew here at PN.

AMFPHP has a series of Defines and Includes/Requires.
Where would I see documentation on PN 0.8x to find out how to re-write those? Most of the includes/requires are for classes, and I am SURE there is a better way to handle class requirements / calls. I also would like to setup a pnlang folder, but I don't know if I need to include( ... ) it or if there is a pnAPI way to point to those folders automatically?

I am setting up AMFPN ( AMFPHP for PN ) under: root/includes/classes/AMFPN/AMFPHP

    Any suggestions?

    Help
