As of PostNuke .764, the left, right and center block positions are hard-coded into the Blocks module and Xanthia. Are there any plans (or currently a way) to allow more than these three block positions? I have several sites for which there are more than three distinct theme-related content areas separate from the main content, and in order to cache the theme, these areas would need to have their display encapsulated by blocks. However, with only three block positions, I can only use blocks to provide content for up to three 'areas' (assuming a liberal interpretation of 'left', 'right' and 'center'). Since / simply expunges the contents from the cached version of the template - and therefore from display - the only solution seems to be to turn off Xanthia caching. This is bad, because these are high volume sites.
Will Xanthia 3 support more block types than left/right/center? Is there any method for working around this limitation in Xanthia 2?
Thanks,
Ben

Thanks Teb. Good find. I couldn't find that thread when searching for an answer. I hope they leave this topic in place to make it easier to find!
