I installed the latest PN build (0.7.6.4), upgraded from 0.75. Then , as I wanted to make use of v4bjournals, I installed the v4blib - which all went well. So now my PN installation shows as 0.7.6.2, but that's not a problem.
I was using Gallery for admin only images and it's still running. I wanted to use photoshare to allow users to create their own albums, but whatever I try, users cannot create albums - although they can view the test album I created.
Install was followed to the letter and permissions set as stated in the readme.txt, but it's just not happening.
permissions are as follows:
Group Component Instance Permission
All groups photoshare:: .* read
Users photoshare:: .* edit
it appears the only person who can create albums is me, defeating the purpose as I might as well have just stuck to Gallery.
Can someone please help?

do you mean as in priority/position? I just tried that and it hasn't worked.....
I'll put all my permissions as they stand on here and maybe you can see what I should be doing:
Seq. Shift Group Component Instance Permissions level Operations
1 Admins .* .* Admin
2 All groups Menublock:: User Menu:Administration: None
3 Users .* .* Comment
4 Unregistered Menublock:: Main Menu:(My Account|Logout|Submit News): None
5 Unregistered .* .* Read
6 Admins Pagesetter :: Admin
7 All groups photoshare:: .* Read
8 Users photoshare:: .* Edit

Still not working.
Can you look via the URL to see if I have the menu pointing to the correct part of the module?

I registered for your site and looked at the photoshare module. Users still don't have the permission to add an album.
I don't know if this will help but change the ".*" in your photoshare edit permission to "::" and see. -

I would love it if someone would explain why sometimesworks, why sometimesCode
.*works, and why sometimes either works.Code
::
It is fine to try both alternatives when having a problem, but enquiring minds want to know....
