Hi, I hope someone can help me with this.
I have a fantastico install of PostNuke.
fantastico is not so fantastic and their packages are not updated.
I want to uninstall the fantastico install and install 0.764 but I can't get it to uninstall.
Following excellent advice received I installed a second PostNuke site a couple of days ago. The ease of selfinstall was such that it gave me the necessary push to go fantastico-free.
I suspect that the uninstall is getting hung up due to a missing or corrupted fantastico file but I am only guessing.
Please help. If PostNuke can be installed fantastico-free, how do I uninstall it fantastico-free.
I don't mind if this 'breaks' the fantastico PostNuke package as I will never be using them again anyway. fantastico was simply a beginners stepping stone for someone who knows nothing about web design or management.
Thank you PostNuke, due to your excellent support forums, vigourous third party development, immense patience, yada yada yada, I now feel empowered to throw off the shackles of fantastico oppression and stride free into the sunlight of a brand new day and face the rest of my life freed from that crippling addiction to push button install. Brothers and Sisters I ask you now to raise your voices in thanks....!?, icon_lol
O.K. I admit, now I'm just going overboard but the sentiments the same. Thanks Guys and Gals. Cheers and many happy returns to all.

I'm not sure how you access your files and your database on your server, but getting rid of something you aren't planning to use or fix is generally not hard:

If you have a cPanel type interface, you should be able to delete the database behind the fantastico mis-install and then use the file manager function of your cPanel to simply delete the HTML files.

If you are using phpMyAdmin to manage your databases and FTP to push files up, then you should be able to do the same thing with them.
