Problems with Forum css rendering  Bottom

  • Looking at this page on the forum with FF works fine, but with Safari (and OmniWeb) it renders wrong.

The box on the left of each post with the posters name, avatar, and data extends multiple screens to the right displacing the actual post content and requiring that one move the Safari window multiple screen widths OFF the screen to the left in order to get to the post content.

I *think* this is new, as I have been using OmniWeb and Safari primarily for several months now with no trouble and suddenly this problem appeared in the last few days. (Or at least, that is when I noticed it...)

Were there any recent changes made to the CSS underlying the forum?

  • Added info:

    If I add:

    Code

    -start-1.htm

to the end of the URL, it renders fine. But if I add:

    Code

    -start-0.htm

it doesn't work - it renders wrong.

Seems like, anytime I get a post that doesn't render, I can add the start-1 piece to make it render correctly.

I have no clue what this means....

  • It appears to me that it has something to do with the style for the userinfo box, which ? is set as a %. In forum posts that add code with long lines, that seems to increase the width of the page, potentially substantially, and the userinfo box expands correspondingly.

It makes some posts essentially unreadable in Safari.

Hoping for a dev comment here?
