Fresh with my success at installing PN, I managed to get phpBB running also, installed as a module. (Hurray!) It raised a few simple questions whose answers I haven't found in either the documentation or on the forums here or at phpbb.com I installed it in a directory named forums

Is there a way to shorten the URL of the forum from mydomain.com/modules/forums to mydomain.com/forums?

Even though the auto links module has been initialized and activated, the forums mod initialized and activated, and auto links enabled, no links to the forums appear on any of my PN pages. Do I have to create a manual link to the forums?


One final question about forums (for now at any rate). What does a data bridge do for a program that is already a module, specifically a forum program like phpBB? What specific features or benefits are gained by using one?

I've been reading info here for months in preparation for installing and running PN. I had been intending to wait for 0.8 but I'm glad I decided not to wait any further. Now that I've got it running (I had my share of DB connection problems) and phpbb also, I get to see what you all have been talking about. I'm impressed and having a lot of fun configuring it (I stayed up all through last night working on it - I was too excited to sleep) . I just have some past set up questions whose answers I have not yet found. Any help will be appreciated.
