Downloads 2.1 problem  Bottom

  • I have tried search and found little information about the downlaods module how-to. My problem is that I install/activae the module. I can add new downloads and download files with no problem. However, the screenshot dispaly area always get empty. It will display a 404 file not found error if I click the "show screenshot" button. I did a check in my site. The screenshot file does exist in the pnTemp directory. Did I do anyhting wrong in configuration?
And, I got an error if I turn on "use captcha to secure download" setting. Any additional modules/setup needed in order to use this feature?
    TIA.

  • Hmm.. I was thinking on going to use that module, but..

I went to the download theme's section, where there are previews. And these previews are directly called from the pnTemp dir.

Doesn't this break the preview option in this module?
  • Hi, Lindbergh
Thanks for the guiding. I put a trailing / and now everything works perfectly.
I config following directories in downloads|module configuration|upload / download, in case someone encountered the same problem as I did would like to know where to look for. All directories are in relative to PN root. icon_biggrin
    ./pnTemp/downloads_upload/
    ./pnTemp/downloads_screenshots/
    ./pnTemp/downloads_cache/

During the install the modul is reading the config vars for pnTemp folder and creates the path to it.
Since Version 2.1 everything is absolute relative. This ensures that you can move the folders to where ever you want also after the installation.
