this block - with moving rss from other sites is very useful. unfortunatelly - I just stated that it slows my site about 2-3 seconds. when this block is active - my site is loading in about 3,5 - 4s.
without this block - this is something about 0,2-0,6 s
maybe it's still quickly (I mean this 3,5) but visitors would be more pleased if the page would be really quick.
do you know what is going on - is there any way to remove this problem? or maybe there is another block similiar to newscroller? that doesn't make any problems?
newscroller was perfect as central block - but I would have to remove it - if this problem couldn't be ressolved

Every block added is a drain on recourses. The more blocks one has, the more the server needs to render.
With RSS, the site has to call out to get the feeds, process them and render them. It will take more time.

ok, but when I add normal block it could slow the site about 0,2 or something like that. My website is located on the decicated server - I have a lot of power free. Is that really so hard for portal to render it?
I understand something near 1 second. But 3 seconds? Is there any way to make it faster?
