I was told in the main support forum that by using the following modules: folder,
Mediashare,
Pagesetter I would be able to make a system where I could have many users accessing only the images that are theirs (group permissions I imagine, no problem with that) in a directory structure, browsing thumbnails and approving images sometimes with high res images linked in also, its this that I could do with some idea on, heres what I need:
Directory structures, ending in folders containing images.
The images can be browsed as tumbnails.
Each image is either approved or not and can be comented.
Once approved an image remains approved unless altered by an admin, and time stamps when and by whom.
Thumbnails lead to higher resolution images, here they can be aproved and/or commented.
Its really that lot I need a lift with, apologies for having asked so much in one go but I am a software engineer really and the whole php/mySQL stuff is still on the learning curve for me!
Incidentally, and I havent noticed this elsewhere, I discovered that there is a solution to the 500 error some hosts are throwing when a .htaccess file is used to set
register_globals, the command should not end in off or Off, it should end in 0, this does not generate 500 errors, that might be of some use to somebody else who does not want to make a php.ini file!
Thanks.
