Since I got a typical scrolling 3-RSS-feeds Newsscroller block active on my site... it began to slow down dramatically. I mean all the server went so heavily loaded that even other hosted sites became unreachable.
In the end I guess I could have something to do with that newly added block and since I've deactivate it, everything runs normal again.
I wonder what the heck does this block to the MySQL connections that it can make so much damage to access speed.
Anybody experienced such a problem with this block?

Strange that on this other site http://www.galeguidade.net/portal/index.php the block identically configured causes no problem at all.
Could it be some incompatibility of Newscroller block with some of the others we got active on http://www.fillos.org/galicia/index.php ??? -

Possible incompatibility should have nothing to do with scrolling effect: I've tried to put the block back but without scrolling this time... and problems are back!
Site does not show any page...

What version of NewsScroller are you using?
I'm struggling to get hold of the version 15 files - the download that says its'version 15 is actually version 12. Benn having loads fo problems with it not working with any RSS feeds. If you have the version 15 files I'd be very grateful if I could get a copy from you.
thanks and sorry I don't know anything about your problem
