PostNuke is a weblog/content management system (CMS). It is far more secure and stable than competing products, and is able to work in high-volume environments with ease.
PN, compared to blogging software, sucks for being a 'weblog system'
I'm using PN as a highly extendable weblog system, but when comparing it to wordpress/geeklog/movable type/typepad PN is years behind.
How are the intentions for .8 on these issues:
Tagging, automatic-pinging, XML-RPC's, autmatic trackbacking, more feeds (using more items (category, date modified))
I edited some core files, changed a few templates, and send a big out to sites that search blogs. Using tags and pings I added my blogs with 1 click to 15 sites that searches on blog engines.
Since PN comes with the text as being a stable more secure product then competing products, atleast it should keep up. Or, but I hope not, take out the message it's for weblogging, because other products are just way better.
