Two of them have custom game headers that rotate when the page reloads. All themes will only be sold once. All three are 100% Xanthia and have been tested on 7.6.2.

  • Prety nice theme's,

But it's all tables, and a design made in tables is a bitch to have crawled and even indexed good. For a design that are so expensive as yours, they should be at least be table-less, or reduced in price. Personally I would not spend that kind of cash to a theme that can't be indexed properly.

Never the less, they look good.
  • Tables have no relevance on indexing or crawling....

Nice, was wondering what the censored word was? I can see it with the quote fuction of pnForum...

Surely, tabless design has many benefits. But (did you feel it coming), these are gamer portal site themes. The average gamer has a great connection to the interwebby. CSS based themes are nice, but not the be all end all. I use both methods... for web design. Sure, I perfer CSS, because I can easily edit the style sheet to make changes to a site, but to many users table-based themes are easy for the novice-I-don't-want-to-be-a-coder webmaster to use. Table-based designs can very easily be opened in a HTML program and manipulated with minimal understanding of code. Sure it takes more code (a lot more code), but table-based design does have something to offer. Is it technically correct?, maybe not, but will it work?, definitely. Is it wrong to use tables for purposes other than tabulated data? I do not know. Do I think that tableless design is always the best solution? Definitely not.

I am not really sure why tables versus CSS is an issue here? Tables work, gamers do not care if their home site is samantically valid. They are nice themes.

    Sorry for the post hijacking...

  • Oh, and while we are at it, Zar, it is, "indexed well", not, "good". Well is an adverb, while good is an adjective.

Just having so fun with you. icon_smile icon_cool

As always, thanks for your input and time to the PN community,

    Dave

  • I didn't meant to critisize (spelling?) his art work on the theme's. If it was taken like that, I'm sorry.

    And i don't think they're all gamers theme's BTW. I like the theme's, really I do.

I did have a theme that used tables, and noticed that the 1st colomn was used for snippets, so basicly when i did a site-search, the only results was the content of the left blocks area, due to the fact that text started there.

I really like the 1st theme, nothing game-related to it, love the design and colors.

I clicked one, I looked gamey to me, but when I clicked the next one, the site stopped responding. (Probably took to long to load all the damned tables... ;) ). Anyway, Zar, I was just having some fun really with the table/CSS debate, while balancing the comments you made with another point of view, especilly to a perspective customer. I stand in the middle on the issue. I was not suggesting that you did not like the themes, by any means.

Hopefully the themes will be back online soon. Good luck on your sales, GR.

Really sorry for the thread hi-jacking, again,

    Dave

  • Very nice themes and priced incredibly low considering that they are being sold only once. I personally wouldnt accept anything lower than $500 or so per theme, but thats just me i guess. $50 would be reasonable if they were sold multiple times, but definately not unique. If i had a use for them right now, i would definately buy one of those, but currently i dont. Good luck on the sales. If you can get the correct psd files and such, i would highly recommend selling them on a site like templatemonster.com. You will definately get more money from them. Not trying to insult anyone here, but a good amount of people that hang out in open source arenas tend to be quite cheap. Just something i have noticed over the past few years.
  • He is actually selling http://www.modlist.net/changetheme-modlist.html at a loss as I am the one who designed and sold it to him. :)

I am Mars for those that don't know it... ;)

Seems the site was up the whole time... I switched computers, in the middle of visiting PN... one computer has ProtoWall installed the other does not.

Just a note here: ProtoWall is blocking your site or IP... You must be the "Man". It would never have accured to me that your site would be blacklisted, but since I have 3 computers here, it is became clear after a bit. Yes, three. My main XP machine, my laptop xp machine, and my kids Fedora Machine. Yes, my kiddies use Fedora (FC5), my kids are 5 and 7, no, not from the terminal, but from the GUI. I also have a mac, but I won't turn it on, I hate it. And yes, I am poor.

  • Here I was all excited about 9 responses and I got hijacked.... LOL

MMaynard is indeed Mars and I think he did a great job on the theme. I am selling it at a loss out of respect for what he does. In fact, I think it's the nicest of the three.

The other two were done by my graphics partner. They were sitting there doing nothing and we need to raise $2000 to pay for a pro radio license in 2007. He said I could use them to raise some money.

Thanks for all the comments. Should anyone come along that is interested, please email atomm (at) gamersradio (dot) com.

    Thanks!
  • Indeed nice theme, sorry for hijacking.

Good luck in raising the needed capital.
