PN.8 MS2 is a beta version, for developers, for evaluate it funcionality & for bug detection, is not orientated for productive/stable enviroments, for this reasons is prefered keep out other possibilities of having errors, or confusion, on bug detection as it is an update.

Ya, I kinda got that from the, ah " MS2 " in the name, thanks... But you don't exactly answer my question do you. I am going to be writing a module that adds more member management but want to look at .8 before I start since a lot has changed!
I am aware that it is not a stable release, all of PostNuke is bata at this time... I am willing to try it and see what happens. Is that not how one finds problems?
Now If you can answer my original question I would be happy, is there an installer to upgrade? -

Usually, with the MS releases, there is no upgrade routine. That part is usually one of the last parts of the package written. That said, try install.php and/or upgrade.php

Yes, there is an upgrade.php file, on main directoy, it seem that is prepared & with modification for .8 but I didn't test it, when I'll do I'll post me results on here.
I did't tested Member_List neither (only how it look) because I allways have an authenkey error on registration new account, allways tell that I press back button, other bug to report,

I understand about the installer needing to be last in dev since it needs to install everything, witch is had to do if it is not there

There is no upgrade from .76x (or any previous version) to .8MS2. Upgrades will not be possible until later in the development cycle. While upgrade.php exists all this does is run through the upgrade process for each module. These upgrade processes are not yet complete so an upgrade isn't yet possible.
While upgrades aren't possible clean installs are - so feel free to give it a whirl. There are couple of bugs in the installer that have been identified and fixed so if the MS2 release archive doesn't work for you try the latest SVN snapshot.
