Hello,
Is there a module out there that will make it possible to show panoramic images?
I am working on two different sites. One for my photography business and the other is a regional travel/realestate portal.
I have used open realty before as a stand alone and at one time tried the postnuke module and this will work for "listing" realestate.
But I need the ability to display panoramic images inside of stories, blocks or othwerwise display them throughout the site in certain sections etc...
The panoramic images are "spherical" not flat cylinder images that are distorted. Currently I use "ptviewer", a java applet to display the images. I also use Quicktime for full screen stuff. Flash can not display spherical panoramic images but I hear there is a flash viewer being developed.
In the past I have also use cut and paste of HTML into stories to show the images but this is a clunky workaround. And I would also like to have a "gallery" of panoramic images. Perhaps a parade of homes kind of thing.
I have hundred and hundreds of virtual tours. Not only do I do this for listings but also of events, places and artistic type work. I am hoping to make panoramic images a main feature of my travel portal.
It would be just great if there was an easy way to add these when making pages or adding content.
If this does not exist I am willing to pay for the development.
This is a link to the type of tours I make.

The second problem is how to integrate the total tour like the link but I think that could be done with pop ups.
Any help appreciated
Troy

I would think you could use Pagesetter for that. It would certainly take some time to accomplish it though, I would imagine. -

THanks for the response Wendell.
I think some sort of gallery hack would do it. The pano image is a 2:1 aspect ratio images at 2000x1000 pixels. The applet "ptviewer" handles the display using a simple set of parameters called from an HTML page.
So the panos have to have the ptviewer applet called each time an image is displayed. It would be really cool to have mabey a "box" that can have options to set the parameters and image path...etc. This way I could just add a box to where I want an image to display. I really need to show them at various places in the site.
A gallery hack would be good to show individual images or perhaps each tour could be an "albulm".
I know I will have to keep the tours like in the link above seperate and call them using a simple URL into a popup window. I dont know..??????
Thanks
Troy
