I was looking around yester day and found this script called pligg that is basically a clone of how digg works. I thought it could make an interesting option to the news module for anyone who is adventurous enough or have some time on their hands and it already uses Smarty.
You can find the script at http://pligg.com . Their directory of sites is down but I did find a nicely templated site at http://dealspy.org
Now to go dust of my PHP book and day dream about getting time to crack it open lol :)
