Help with porting Blogger (Blogspot) posts to PostNuke  Bottom

  • Hey guys, I've done my requisite searching but have come up blank, and so I ask you all, is there a module or script that I can use that will port/convert/switch Blogger posts to a PostNuke blog?

I ask because I recently switched from a Blogspot system to a PN system, but short of cut'n'pasting 150 previous posts over one at a time, I'd really love a module or script or some way of moving that data over to my new PN site - especially since I have yet another Blogger site I'm wanting to shift sometime soon.

    Little help?
  • Hi,

I am the author of the v4bJournal module, which is AFAIK the only real journal/blog type module for PN which is still actively maintained. You can see it in action at http://openstar.post…p?module=v4bJournal and http://openstar.post…e&filter[mode]=last.

If you're interested in having an import of this data, let me know and I'll see what I can do for you. Since I don't know what data you have I don't know if it will cleanly map into v4bJournal, but it's certainly worth a try.

    Greetings
    R
  • I don't know of any script to do the conversion for you but PostNuke itself with the right modules is a blogging solution - for example my site. Modules and plugins i'm using are

    • standard news module for the blog postings
    • EZComments for commenting
    • trackback
    • Blogroll
    • Gravatar plugin to enable support for http://gravatar.com
    • A couple of yet to be released modules for handling content from del.icio.us
    • Schedular module to automate the addition of my del.icio.us bookmarks
