could this mod be ported easily from phpnuke  Bottom

I think this would drive some of the gaming community to postnuke instead of the security issues I been hearing about in phpnuke.

I am no PHP programmer nor, do I know postnuke or phpnuke. :(

spiffy will be doing a raid manager that will be for all games next. I think it will just be a mod of this one. :)

So with that mod I think we will be a good asset to the postnuke community modules.

  • It's just a matter of finding someone to do the work; anything can be ported with a bit of expertise in how both systems' modules are authored. There's very few people working on gamey stuff for PN though...because PN is headed toward an enterprise solution, IMHO.

And gamers always bring with them the over-the-top, ridiculously-baroque, oversized, forum-cluttering, sig-images ... which are simply out of place here as the PN crowd tends to be more "professional" in nature.
  • If someone does port this make sure to take care of these SQL Injection and Fi…ion Vulnerabilities which are equally likely to be in any PHP-nuke port as they are in the original code.

Umm I am a gamer and I never did that. :P you you fallacy maker. :P sorry Alar I had to do it.

well, yes I see postnuke going to the enterprise distrobution. However, I am a gamer and I look at security as #1 to everything. PHPnuke has its flaws as everything else either hijack or usability. However, I will take usability flaws over security flaws any day of the week.

Also, Yes alot of people in the gaming world like to showoff and all that. However, not everyone is like that. They just go to Phpnuke as thats where the modules are. (or dragonfly as I see more people using).

However, I would love to see some work for postnuke. I wish I had time (next year I will. Will have 2 AA degrees and taking time off) to learn PHP and Postnuke systems.

    :)

thanks for the posts you guys.
