Dynamic User Data

  • I added a couple of fields to the Dynamic User Data - firstname & lastname. I can see the fields when I log in as a user and go to "My Account", but not in the admin side when I edit a user. As a result, the csv file of 300+ users that I imported into mySQL didn't bring over the firstname and lastname data for each user. It's there in mySQL, but not under each user's data on my site.

Is there a way I can fix this? I really need the firstname & lastname fields and I don't want to have to edit each user manually.

    Thanks,
    Sue
  • Quick clarification -- do you need the first/last name to show up on the members list profile? If so then you might want to check out the advProfile module. Also, what version of PN are you using?

  • I am using PN .762. I wouldn't mind if the Lastname/Firstname appeared on the members list. I have a private country club website so the public cannot register. I, as the admin, register all members of the country club myself. I want the firstname field to appear in places the username does now, since I'm using their member numbers as username.

I did check out advProfile and downloaded it, but there's not much documentation with it and when it asked me to change the user.php code, I got a little nervous. I couldn't find any documentation online either so I decided not to use it, since I was afraid I'd do more damage than good. I'm not really a programmer and know very little about PHP.
