Zikula Community

I am the admin of a "country club" website where only members of the club are allowed to be registered members of the site. As the admin, I am registering all the current and future members with a userID and password. I need to disable email address as a required field since many members do not have one. I just cannot figure out how to do that.

I found a post at http://community.pos…ic=46976&highlight= where ainigma32 provides a hack, but it didn't work for me. I copied (not typed) the code exactly as it is but I still get the "email required" error when I omit the email address.

One other question if I may - I am planning to use the member's unique number as their User ID. I have a "Welcome: USERID" field on my site and would like to change the USERID in that field to the user's real name. Is that in PostNuke or do I have to search my theme files for that. I am using AutoTheme.
