Error 404 when installing
 Top

  • I have been carefully following some threads in this section just so I dont ask a duplicate question. When I first got my site I downloaded PostNuke then uploaded it to my website via FTP. (there are no other files/folders listed on the site except the PostNuke ones). I have made sure my hosting is linux and have already created my SQL database. My permissions are 666 for the config and config-old files. I have done everything listed and still am getting the 404 error. . I tried calling tech support (which i thoroughly hate) but they were no help. I am attaching a picture of my FTP. Note that I didnt copy the HTML folder from PostNuke just the contents of the HTML folder. Thanks for any help.

  • Hhmmm... tried the pure URL and all I get is my browser window resized by a blank flash app of some kind, I'm not big on being told how big my windows should be and it doesn't give me a choice... but it does load.

I tried browsing to www.jordancashion.com/install.php, that failed with 'Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at www.sedoparking.com'. I'd suggest you ask them why they won't load.

  • Sounds like your URL may not be fully resolved yet.

Sounds like your URL may not be fully resolved yet.

    what exactly does that mean?
  • When you register a new domain on the internet it takes 24-48 hours for it to be fully resolved so that the domain name actually points to your website.

How long ago did you register jordancashion.com?

    Under Construction!
  • According to the whois record the domain was registered in April of this year. When I go to jordancashion.com I get a webhosting and domain service link.
